I was chuffed to be once again invited to participate in a group exhibition at The Turbine House, Riverside Museum at Blake's Lock, Reading; "The Last Gasometer and Reading's Changing Skyline", curated by Jenny Halstead and Linda Saul, 10 – 26 September 2021 as part of the Heritage Open Day.

Although the last of Reading's gasometers had a reprieve from the demolishers in the spring of 2021 because of nesting birds of prey, its days are now numbered.

In the 1980s and 90s when I used to travel back and forth by train from Paddington to Reading, it was the gasometers I used to look out for so I knew it was time to get off! I was very fond of them.
